SHOW YOUR INK SOME LOVE

LOVING CARE FOR YOUR TATTOO

Tatt Butter™ products provide industry best care before, during, and after you get new ink. Always consult your licensed artist for generic or specific care instructions. A clean and sanitary environment is the most important requirement for tattoo care. Tattoos are open wounds and can easily get infected from dangerous bacteria, unwanted germs, and an array of foreign particles.

Time spent caring for your tattoo in all stages is rewarding and easy with Tatt Butter™ products. Tatt Butter™ is made from the world’s most exotic body butters and is amazing for your skin, with or without a tattoo. The results on a tattoo are shocking!

Generic Tattoo Care

  • The bandages applied by your licensed artist are typically allowed to stay on 2-3 hours and removed for inspection and cleaning within 5-6 hours.

  • If your new ink is unreachable then please get assistance. Whoever is washing the tattoo will need to wash their hands with soap and warm water. Allow hands to air dry. Do not use washcloths or paper towels.

  • With clean hands, gently remove the bandages, wash the entire area with warm water and a mild organic body butter based soap. Choose a soap without abrasive ingredients, fake coloring, or petroleum based fragrances. Do not use a loofah, washcloth, or scrub pad.

  • Allow skin to air dry. Do not use washcloths or paper towels. Be patient!

  • We recommend applying a thin layer of calming and cooling Rosemary Wintergreen Healing After Care Tatt Butter™, in the liquid pump or old school balm, over your dry tattoo. Wait 10 minutes and reapply. Tatt Butter™ products are pure organic plant power based body butters and can be used as often as needed.

  • It might not be necessary to rewrap or bandage the tattoo. That is largely based on your activities, the location of your art, and the size and depth or your art. Always follow the recommendations of your licensed artist. Wear cotton, light, and loose clothing to avoid irritation.

  • Exposure to air while maintaining moisture is important. The tattoo will begin to form scabs in its early stages. It is normal to see oozing of plasma and ink during the first day or two. During the first 2-3 weeks wash the tattoo at least twice a day. Always wear fresh clean clothes after washing. Constantly replace bath towels and bedsheets while healing.

  • It is normal for your new tattoo to itch or feel dry during the healing process. Do not scratch it, Tatt Butter™ has relief! Use our relaxing and cooling Lavender Peppermint No Itch Aftercare Tatt Butter™ formula in the liquid pump or travel-friendly balm. Use this proactively while healing, even if the skin doesn’t feel dry. Continue applying for up to 3 weeks, or until your tattoo has stopped peeling.

  • If your skin is sensitive, try our uplifting and soothing Eucalyptus Thyme Non Comedogenic Daily Care Tatt Butter™.

  • At 3 weeks and beyond use a Tatt Butter™ brightener. Our exciting blend of Palmarosa, Lavender, Frankincense and White Grapefruit Brightening Daily Care Tatt Butter™ has 24 pure organic ingredients. It is stimulating and leaves your skin glowing. Also try our calming, balancing, and uplifting Patchouli and Sweet Orange Brightening Daily Care Tatt Butter™.

Things to Avoid

  • Avoid water. Do not swim, go to a sauna, or exercise heavily. Chlorinated or salt water is terrible for your healing ink.

  • Cover the ink if you take a shower in the first couple days. Avoid getting your new tattoo wet.

  • Avoid sunlight until healed. Sun will dry your skin and could damage your tattoo.

  • Tatt Butter™ products are the most advanced and effective formulations in the industry. Keep your skin healthy and moisturized, and your tattoos vibrant and healthy. All our products are pure organic plant based, never tested on animals, petroleum free, phthalate free, synthetic and fragrance free. Natural products can contain synthetic fertilizers and that is not acceptable to Tatt Butter™
